The following appeared in the 3 PM Flash Edition of The Standard, Saturday November 2, 2097.

The last of the 6 funerals for the murdered children took place at 2:30 PM today.  Matty Ximon, female, age 8, whose body was found October 25th, 2097, was laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery.  Attendees included Miss Ximon’s adoptive mother Ms. Katherine Ximon, her sister Nary Ximon, female, age 7, also adopted, as well as various relatives and friends of the family.  Also in attendance was Mayor Franco Cocanaugher, a professional associate of Ms. Ximon.

When asked about today significant events regarding the case, as well as the death of Douglaz Doll, founder of Doll Industries and inventor of the Doll Weather System, Mayor Cocanaugher was quoted as saying, ‘We don’t yet know the extent of Douglaz’s involvement.  Therefore, at this time, we should consider him only a person of interest.  I still have full faith in the Doll System and look forward to its application for licenses in other territories.’

Also in attendance were family members of the other 5 murdered children, including Mr. Alfred Schuller, father of Vaughn Schuller, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Castille, parents of Tabby Castille, and Mr. and Mrs. Juan Vasquez, parents of Malinda Vasquez.  Relatives of Pieta Smith and Bre Reverte (whose father Sergio Reverte was killed by police Friday morning after allegedly attacking and killing suspect Alek Serkan) were not present.

It should be noted that the weather for the funeral was pleasant, mild, and without any of the inconsistencies of past weeks.
